Ingredients & Supplies:

Here's what you need to make this liquid foaming natural soap:

  • 1 Tablespoon Liquid Castile soap (or learnhow to make Castilesoap yourself for pennies)
  • 1/2 teaspoonFractionated Coconut Oilor 2 squirts from the pump
  • 15 DropsEssential Oilsof each Lavender & Peppermint, or Wintergreen & Lemon, or Grapefruit & Thieves Oils (price varies)
  • 1 Drop (NOT TWO) Food Coloring if you want to make it look like a traditional hand soap (optional)
  • Distilled or reverse osmosis water
  • 1 Foaming soap container (I reused an old one)7

To make this Soap Disinfecting: add 1 Tablespoon Vinegar OR 1 Tablespoon Rubbing Alcohol

I simply reuse the foaming hand soap bottles I get once a year when I getin the mail.

Or you can pull out those canning jars and add these foaming soap dispenser. They work great and won't rust!

Lavender and Thieves Oils have antiseptic cleaning properties so those make a good choice to help make your natural soap antibacterial. I use Lavender mostly, and I always use theYoung Living brandbecause of their purity promise, but it’s only for making your hand soap smell good, so you could really buy cheaper ones.

I’ve usedgreen, blue, or red or red/blue (for purple) food coloring before and they look nice, and it does NOT stain your hands! Two drops don’t seem to mix well for me and then I end up with some streaks on my hands. The entire natural soap mixture is so cheap, you can experiment with various scents and colors!

Just wait till you see how easy this DIY foaming hand soap essential oils recipe really is!

Directions:

First, add a little bit of the water into your bottle which helps to buffer the natural soap going in.

Then add the liquid Castile soap, fractionated coconut oil, and the essential oils to your foaming hand soap bottle.

For this recipe, I used 10 drops Thieves and 30 drops of Lemon Essential Oils. While I normally don't suggest using Citrus essential oils in plastic, the soap mixture normally doesn't sit long in my soap bottles so I've never had a problem with it altering the plastic.

Fill the rest of the bottle with water.

Use distilled water or reverse osmosis water so that the soap never gets slimy. This foaming hand soap with castile soap really is so easy!
